sabina's in melbourne!
*relatively long post. Beware. :)
Hey guys!
Haven't posted for a long time, huh?
Heehee.
My best friend Sabina from Singapore is staying with me for a week! :D
okay, here's what we did.
Wednesday
Sabi and her parents arrived at 7am, my mum and i went to pick them up.
Sabina came home with me, while her parents took a cab to their hotel. (Stamford Plaza on Little Collins St)
My mum dropped us off, and then she went to work, so we were home alone. hahaha.
Sabina unpacked, then took out the hana kimi books and mario party 8 she bought me.
We went to play mario party 8 on the wii, but found out that it doesn't work on my wii cause my wii is the australian type, while the mario party 8 sabi bought for me was a US game and the australian type only plays australian games, so yeah. It didn't work. :( I was so excited. hahaa.
So we played wario wares instead. Damn fun, hahaha. :P Sabi like totally owned during the boss stages, and it was her first time playing. Like wth hahahah.
After playing for awhile, we decided to cook lunch.
Looked around the house, and couldn't find anything to eat... (sad, i know. xD) So we decided to fry scrambled eggs. hahahah. Pathetic, right? But the eggs were yummy, so oh well. xD
Sabi's parents came to the house at around 3.30pm and brought Hungry Jacks for us to eat (THANK YOU) then we just slacked and got dressed for dinner.
Then that night, we went to eat dinner at a fancy italian restaurant on Lygon Street.
The food's like damn nice. :)
So anyways, we went to some restaurant with sabi's parents, can't remember the name, actually I don't think I looked at the name. o.o We ordered food like calamari, oysters, carbonara fettucine (sp?) carbonara penne, veal. hahah, classic italian? [:
The food took damn long to come, like an hour and 15 minutes?
Like wthhhhh, it was so boring just waiting there for food to come. -_-
After that, we went home and watched a little bit of sabi's fahrenheit dvd (AHH, I LOVE AARON YAN. SO DAMN HOT.) then went to sleep. ^^ (My mum swopped rooms with me, so we're sleeping in her room with the big bed, while she's sleeping on my single sized bed for the week. ^^)
Thursday
Woke up to the sound of a ringing doorbell. Haha.
I went down to open it, and realised it was Sabi's parents.
They were bringing us shopping for the day cause my mum was at work and that we didn't have anything else to do. xD
So embarrassing that Sabi and I were still in bed. xD
So we got up, washed up and got changed.
Anyways, after that, had breakfast and then we left the house.
We walked up my street, and then to a tram stop, where we waited for like 15 minutes for the tram that was going towards the city.
The tram was like packed. So many peopleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. O.O
So anyways, after about half an hour on the tram, we finally reached our stop, we got off, and started shoppingggggg! :D
I don't really want to go into details, seriously. xD
In the end, I bought a 'Toad' (The video game character) soft toy and Mario Party 8 (Because Sabi's one didn't work)
Sabi bought Yoshi slippers for Nic, Paul Frank slippers for herself, a Country Road Bag, a christmas card and a christmas decoration for her friend (it says her friend's name on it. very very cute.)
After shopping, we went to eat lunch at a vietnamese restaurant.
The food there's extremely scary. :S
Sabi's dad was like "Oh, Kim, eat this." Then he placed this weird squid-looking thing on my plate. Then he was like "I'll tell you what it is, after you eat it."
So i ate it, and luckily i couldn't taste anything because i had rice in my mouth. xD
After I ate it, I was like "okay, what is it?"
And Sabi's dad goes "Oh, a part of the beef's stomach."
haha, I was actually expecting something much worse, so I was surprised.
The food was good, just that I didn't really dare eat any of it. xD
Sabi's dad also tried to offer me beef tendons. Uh. Niice.
I rejected the offer.
After that, we went to watch bee movie. xD
We bought the ticket, but we had some time to waste before the movie, so we played a little bit of arcade. Sabi's dad played some hunting games and Sabi and I played car racing. I lost to her. So sad. ):
After that, we went into the cinema and the movie started.
Hate to say this, but it wasn't that good.
The plot was good and all, but the jokes were lame. haha.
After the movie, we went to Sabi's parents hotel, and slacked for about an hour and a half.
Sabi and I watched basketball. =/ That was how bored we were. -_-
Then, we went to eat dinner at a place called 'Sharks Fin House' or something?
Luckily we didn't drink shark's fin soup.
I absolutely hate shark's fin soup.
And the poor sharks! ):
I mean, they eat people and everything...
but still! It's just so evil! D:
Anyways, we ate food like Pork in Black Bean Sauce, Roast Duck and crispy noodles. Mmm, yum. Then for dessert we had banana fritters. Omg, it was SO good. It was covered with maple syrup, and it had vanilla ice cream on the side. Mmmmmm.
After that, we went back to my house, and waited for my mum to come.
Sabi and I played Mario Party 8 while her parents just did their own thing.
Omgomgomgomg.
Mario Party 8 is like SO fun!
I love it. ^^

Watched more Fahrenheit and a little bit of little britain, then went to sleep. Heehee. :)
Friday
Today!
Today was the day Sabi's parents was heading for Sydney.
My mum wanted to see them off, but we didn't make it in time. xD
We had to collect the internet mobile card near the airport, so we asked for directions, then got to the collections depot place and collected it, getting mcdonalds on the way. (Precisely why i'm blogging now. Cause i actually have internet. -_-)
We went back home and Sabi and I played Mario Party 8 once more (I was bugging her to play it with me, cause I wanted to get games. xD) At the same time, I was trying to fix the internet. My mum fried us hashbrowns (She got frozen hashbrowns from Mcdonalds, cause we were craving mcdonalds hashbrowns, but the breakfast hour was over. LOL. So my mum bargained with the mcdonalds manager to give her frozen hashbrowns for her to fry for us. Sad right?) After that, for dessert, sabi and I ate cookies and cream ice cream that was in my freezer. We finished the whole tub. Pro right?:P We ate half of the tub each. LOL.
After that, we stopped playing Mario Party 8, and the internet still refused to work. I was getting so annoyed, so I gave up. We decided to go upstairs to watch little britain, and i tried to fix the internet again, and for some reason it actually worked. So I've been using the internet since. :D
I can't remember what happened after that. O.o
Okay, just skip that bit.
After that, I decided i was very hungry, so we went down and shared chicken cup noodles, and we watched deal or no deal (the australian version. xD There's a singapore version as well, for all the australians reading this), the simpsons (classic), neighbours (australian soap opera), friends (i love friends, who doesn't?) and this funny yet VERY stupid show called 'Kid Nation' I quote sabina "No, it's cool!" -_- We ate dinner while watching Kid Nation, Mmmm, yummy chinese cuisine. We had black pepper beef, chicken omelette, seafood platter, wanton soup, fried rice and prawn crackers. :D

he said "Who here, eats chicken and other kinds of meat at home?"

Right now, i'm using the internet, while sabi is watching simpsons. :D
